Partway through my time on the Starcraft team I helped out the ingame cinematics department.
My main contribution was the complete creation of the solar core in the Spear of Adun protoss ship. I got to take complete ownership of this area and was responsible for animation, rigging, texturing, high and low poly modeling as well as assisting with setting up camera shots.
Jesse Brophy did final lighting and the "arms" seen rotating outside the solar core were made by Simon Fuchs.
I did a number of smaller cinematic assets throughout the game including the celestial array that was your galactic map that you used to travel between planets. I was also responsible for making all the planets in the expansion except for Korhal and Cybros, which was made by Troy Perry
I was responsible for a lot of set lighting and camerawork for the various cinematic sequences and dialogues throughout the game which was surprisingly fun and not something I'd done a lot of before.
Art lead: Justin Thavirat
The art team I had the pleasure of working with was:
Jesse Brophy
Simon Fuchs
Troy Perry
Gaëtan Montaudouin
It never ceases to amaze me how much we achieved with such a small team and I'm very proud of the way everything turned out.
The solar core was my main cinematic contribution to the LOTV campaign.
